According to an article published in the European Journal of Cancer colon cancer survival rate varies by country. A five year survival rate refers to the percentage of patients survive, five years after diagnosis. Generally people who have early diagnosed could have higher percentage of colon cancer survival rates. The earlier colon cancer is detected, the easier it is to treat. Percentage survival rate of the patient depends on how early the disease has been detected as well as how early the patient starts treatment.

The point of this study is women who increased their activity levels after being diagnosed with colorectal cancer had about a 50% higher colon cancer survival rate than women who made no changes. So if you have colon cancer, start exercising now.
